Topbrass Prestige High Adventure, CGC "Amelia" is by Tiger Maple of Braevue*** OS out of Topbrass Prettyltl Supedup 4wd MH***. After a yearlong search we returned to Jackie Mertens with Topbrass Retrievers, to purchase our next field trial prospect. Amelia is the first Golden Retriever puppy that Patrick started using the methods outlined The Prestige Way. He describes her as a true delight to live with as a house dog and when he reflected back on her early training it was best described "as a fun and rewarding process." As a puppy, she has shown good marking skills, as well as, a natural return to her handler. Amelia is currently in training with Mark Madore of Clearwater Retrievers and will be running her first hunt tests this fall.

We are anxious to see what the future holds for this special girl in whelping box, as well as, in the field.

Topbrass Hawk's Blackhawk *** WC “Hawk” : This is from Ernest Hawkins (Hawk’s owner), Topbrass Hawk's Blackhawk ** WC “Hawk” is a 24 inch, 68 pound retrieving machine with a flat medium to dark gold coat and lighter feathering. When Hawk joined our family, at 8 weeks of age, he would retrieve paint rollers nonstop. This progressed through retrieving bumpers and joining our field training group when he was 4 months old. It quickly became apparent that he not only enjoyed retrieving, but he was also a phenomenal marker. He ran his only hunt test at 6 months of age, and passed the test. We continued to train hard and Jammed our first Derby at 11 months and followed that with a 2nd place in his second Derby at 12 months. His Derby career accelerated and he finished with 61 Derby points, making him the second all-time HIGH Golden Retriever Derby dog. While competing in Derbies, Hawk also Jammed the First Q that he ran. Hawk has always lived in our home with his best friend, an intact male Topbrass Hawks Red Wing***. Hawk displays the classic Golden personality and has never met a dog or person he didn't like.

This means that the word "High" will be in all of the puppies. AKC registered names - an example would be: Prestige Aim High. Since their Mother's name is Topbrass High Adventure and their father has earned such high accomplishments at such a young age, we felt it was fitting to look to aim HIGH in our litter theme and we hope that this quote fits this litter in the years ahead, "high achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation" as they seek to write their own unique stories. We chose their "puppy call names" after some of the most HIGH ranking U.S. Generals and Admirals of the U.S. Military.

Please note what we call your puppy for the first 8 weeks has NO bearing whatsoever on your puppy's forever call name - that is you (and your family's) decision.
